SAI ITALIA was set up more than 25 years
ago in the Ravenna province. It is specialised in autogenous welding and
manufactures equipment for goldsmiths and dental technicians
Always aware of market requirements, the
company guarantees high quality production, in strict compliance with all norms
and regulations
The development of a structured policy
alongside high product quality and customer service contributes to its steady
development in Italy as well as abroad.
DESCRIPTION
The QUARK III system for autogenous welding
with bottles is the most complete and efficient equipment available on the
market today.
The gas stabilisers and the removable
filter/drier for oxygen provide a continuous supply to the micro-torch, thus
making it much easier to adjust the micro-flames.
It is provided with the deoxidizer
distribution device FLUX J, suitable for all metals, with independent steam
output which comes directly from the flame itself. This makes it possible to
weld quickly without leaving any residue.
QUARK III can be linked by means of two
four-way distribution devices simultaneously to three micro-torches and one
normal melting torch.
Furthermore it is suitable for air-gas
welding or for use with torches up to 500 litres an hour.
MAINTENANCE
MAIN FEATURES
·
It works with oxygen or
compressed air and gas (BUTANE, PROPANE LPG)
·
It can reach a temperature of
about 3000 ° C
·
It can melt about 40/50 g of metal
·
It supports up to four
micro-torches, all individually adjustable, or three micro-torches plus one
normal melting torch
·
It is provided with deoxidising
liquid suitable for all metals (it does not leave any residue and makes welding
and melting much easier)
·
Removable drier for oxygen.
·
It is provided with all safety
devices: bell-shaped pressure reducers for high pressure and non-return valves
for gas and ox
·
Vessel-protection grid.

It does not require any kind of
maintenance
FITTINGS FOR THE
"QUARK III" SYSTEM
As
mentioned in the previous section, the QUARK III system is an extremely
versatile type of equipment which makes it possible to perform almost all
welding and heating operations. The source used can be gas, oxygen and in
certain cases also compressed air.
With
the QUARK III system it is possible to use two types of torch: one very small
and the other of the traditional type. Both the small torch and the traditional
type can work (by replacing the nozzles or the head tubes) with compressed air
and gas or with oxygen and gas.
In
the first case the QUARK III system should be connected to a compressed air
source; in the second case the QUARK III should be connected to an oxygen
source. In both cases the combustion gas pipe can be the same.
The
traditional torch is provided with four welding head tubes made of copper
(respectively: 100-200-300-400 litres/hour) which all work with oxygen. These are used when you want to work at high
temperatures, for strong welding or melting. The compressed air head tube, on
the other hand, is used for mild heating and soft brazewelding, as well as for
all those operations where temperatures no higher than 900°C are required.
The
micro-torch has basically the same features as the traditional type, though of
course on a smaller scale. It is provided with several needles which can be
inserted by pressing them onto the end of the torch and can be used for
micro-welding.
There
are also two micro-nozzles which work with compressed air and gas and are very
efficient for a high number of welding and heating operations on particularly
delicate elements.
The
operating pressure is two bar for gas-ox and compressed air.
Unscrew
the two caps placed on the lid and pour the FLUX J deoxidising liquid into the
transparent tank without exceeding the maximum level indicated.
Insert
correctly the tubes for oxygen and for any gas (butane, propane LPG) in the two
rubber holders on the back of the device.
Feed
the equipment with a pressure of two bar (two atmospheres) .
In
order to light the flame, proceed as follows: slowly open the gas tap, turn it
on and adjust it so that the flame does not come off the tip of the needle. At
this point, gradually open the oxygen tap until you notice a small concentrated
spear with a strong colour, inserted into a green-coloured flame.
The
micro-torch can be switched on for several hours continuously.
The QUARK III
system does not require much maintenance. All you have to do is top up the
transparent tank with FLUX J deoxidising liquid, when it reaches the minimum
level.
